Liss (previously spelt Lys or Lyss) is a village and civil parish in the East Hampshire district of Hampshire, 3.3 miles (5.3 km) north-east of Petersfield, on the A3 road, on the West Sussex border. It covers 3,567 acres (14 km 2) of semi-rural countryside in the South Downs National Park. [ 2] .
Liss is one of the gateways to the South Downs National Park and has a small shopping area for visitors to enjoy. The village has its own railway station, on the Portsmouth Direct Line and has a wealth of history that dates back from the Iron Age.
