JLSM, in collaboration with MAJLIS, is conducting a national survey on the current situation of the Japanese Language Education in Malaysia (2021). The research team consist of Mr Edward Lee; Dr Zoraida Mustafa (MAJLIS); Dr Ang Chooi Kean (IPG-KBA); and Ms Hasparina Abdul Ghafar (MAJLIS).
JLPT or the Japanese Language Proficiency Test is held worldwide to evaluate and certify proficiency in Japanese of non-native speakers, covering language knowledge, reading and listening ability. There are 5 different proficiency test levels from the highest (N1) to the lowest (N5). It is held twice a year in July and December.
What is JLfest? The festival is organized annually since 2006 with the aim of providing a venue for students to interact in Japanese and deepen their understanding of the Japanese language & culture through various events and activities.
