A young girl, Wei Yingluo, searches for the truth about her older sister's death by becoming a seamstress in the Forbidden City. While searching for answers, Yingluo befriends the Empress, sparks a love affair with an imperial guard, and overall stirs the pot that is the Emperor's harem.
