Simantonnayana. Simantonnayana ( Sanskrit: सीमन्तोन्नयन, Sīmantonnayana) (literally: parting the hair) or Simantha, is the third of the 16 Saṃskāras ( sacraments, rites of passage) in the ancient texts of Hinduism.
