Jul 17, 2018 · The sensor cable or sensor supply of component B24/16 (Trunk lid opening angle detection sensor) has short circuit to ground or to battery voltage. Does anyone know where the sensor is in the trunk? I've checked diagrams online and workshop manuals but where it shows in the right hand side above the gas strut, there's nothing in my trunk.
Place suitable protector on Vario roof front section laid down in trunk. The protector prevents Vario roof front section from being soiled or damaged by falling objects. Unscrew bolt (3). Only when replacing trunk lid position sensor (B24/16).
Dec 19, 2022 · My ‘08 SL550 is showing and pinging every five minutes or so, a trunk open image in addition to a illuminated light adjacent to the open lever on the driver’s door. The trunk lid is securely closed. I’ve made sure the inside trunk cover is tucked into the slots and I’ve removed the trunk contents…..still the warning light.
May 18, 2022 · there is a switch inside the boot lid latch that detects "boot lid open". The wiring for this switch traverses the hinge and flexes every time the boot is opened - which sometimes leads to breakage.
