If you have multiple accounts and decide you want to change your Riot ID, make sure you're on the correct account first!

If you’ve played a Riot Game before, you have a Riot ID. If you aren’t sure what your Riot ID is, there’s a few ways to check: Log into your account via account.riotgames.com and your Riot ID should be listed at the top.
