Tunku Ibrahim was born on 22 November 1958 at the Sultanah Aminah Hospital, Johor Bahru, during the reign of his great-grandfather, Sultan Ibrahim of Johor. He was the third child and eldest son of Sultan Iskandar by his first wife, Josephine Ruby Trevorrow, an English woman from Torquay.
Tunku Tun Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah binti Sultan Ibrahim (born 8 April 1986) is a member of the Johor royal family as the second child and only daughter of the current Sultan of Johor, Sultan Ibrahim ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar and the Permaisuri of Johor, Raja Zarith Sofiah binti Almarhum Sultan Idris Shah.
The current Sultan of Johor is Ibrahim Ismail Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar Al-Haj, who was proclaimed as the 23rd Sultan of Johor on 23 January 2010 and crowned on 23 March 2015 at the Istana Besar, Johor Bahru.
On the demise of his father, Tunku Ibrahim Ismail was proclaimed the Sultan of Johor on 23 January 2010. His Royal Highness Sultan Ibrahim is married to Her Royal Highness Raja Zarith Sofiah Binti Almarhum Sultan Idris Shah. They are blessed with six children, five boys and a girl.
