Home. About. The Borough of Allenhurst was developed on the site of a 120 acre farm originally owned by Abner Allen. It was incorporated on April 26, 1897. Due to its location at the seashore and accessibility from New York City by the railroad, the Borough benefited from the resort boom at the turn of the 20th century.
