Gulf Air Group Holding Company was founded in 2010 to consolidate the aviation assets of Mumtalakat. The holding company aims to improve coordination amongst the various entities within the group in order to enhance the contribution of the aviation sector to Bahrain’s economy and maximise stakeholder value.
From its hub at Bahrain International Airport in Manama, the carrier serves more than 40 cities in more than 30 countries worldwide with a fleet of about 20 jet aircraft, mostly Airbus A320s, and a few A319s, A321s, and Embraers.
Gulf Air Group oversees several entities, including Gulf Air, the national carrier of the Kingdom of Bahrain; Bahrain Airport Company, which manages and operates Bahrain International Airport; Gulf Aviation Academy; and Hala Bahrain Hospitality.
