Oct 27, 2011 · The first single board computer we did was an 8008. Paul Gilbert was our third partner in Traf-O-Data and he knew how to build things, so he actually did the wire wrapping. Paul and I went to Almac/Stroum Electronics and bought the processor for $360. It took a long time to build the machine but it actually worked.
May 29, 2018 · Allen was born in 1953 in Seattle, Washington. Showing an early interest in science, he began teaching himself about computers at the Lakeside School, where he met Bill Gates. After high school, Allen enrolled at Washington State University. He was a student there when he and Gates formed Traf-O-Data in 1972.
