How to apply. As soon as you have an offer to study at The University of Manchester, you can apply for accommodation using our online application form. Register for an account using your University ID number (found on your offer letter) and a valid email address.

As an international student coming to Manchester for the first time, you’ll benefit from the opportunity to live and study alongside British students, in a safe and welcoming environment. With over 8,000 rooms in 19 halls, we offer a variety of types, costs and locations.
We guarantee a place in a University-owned (or managed) hall of residence to every international student for the full duration of their studies, provided they: are coming to the University alone; pay the overseas rate of tuition fees; have submitted an application for accommodation by 31 August;

The accommodation available at The University of Manchester is one of the many advantages of studying here. We offer a greater number of places in university owned accommodation. There are more than 9,200 places available, almost all of which are within two or three miles of the university campus.
