  7. I highly recommend this book to everyone. The have also made a film about the giver however the film lacks in detail and differs from the original story line, hence i greatly prefer the book. The giver has 3 sequels ; Gathering blue, Messenger and son. All good books however you need to have patience as their stories only connect at the end.
