Antho Joseph began his journey in Malayalam cinema as a production manager, working in movies like Anandabhadram (2005) and Kayyoppu (2007) early on in his career. Subsequently, he founded a production house named Anto Joseph Film Company, and has since bankrolled several well-received Malayalam films.
In 2007, he started his career as a film producer and served as the co-producer of the Mammootty starrer Big B. Later, he launched his own film production company named Anto Joseph Film Company and produced films like Malik, Take Off, The Priest, etc. He is currently serving as the general secretary of the Kerala Film Producers Association.
Mikhael is the second directorial venture of Haneef Adeni, produced by Anto Joseph under the banner Anto Joseph Film Company. The film was announced on 12 July 2018. The pooja function was held in Kochi on 3 September, with principal photography beginning the same day. Principal photography ended on November 26, 2018.
