Takuma Sato is a Japanese automobile racing driver and the most successful Japanese Formula One driver in history. He is currently racing for KV Racing Technology in IndyCar Series under Lotus banner.
He couldn’t quite match his best IndyCar points finish to date, but this was arguably Takuma Sato’s best season yet. He finished ninth in the points (compared to eighth in 2017) but for the first time won two races in a campaign. Sato also took two pole positions, meaning his career total in IndyCar now read five wins; nine poles.
