Søren Hyldgaard is an autodidact composer known for his film scores and a number of New Age albums. The trombone concerto "Rhapsodia Borealis" was composed for the trombone soloist Jesper Juul Sørensen and was premiered in the autumn of 2001. It was later released in a symphonic orchestration.
