Sharat Katariya (born 15 June 1978) is an Indian film director and screenwriter. Career. Katariya started out as an assistant director to Rajat Kapoor during the making of Raghu Romeo. He also worked as a lyricist on the film. Apart from this he has written dialogues for films Bheja Fry and Sunglass .

Sharat Katariya was born on 15 June 1978 in New Delhi, India. He is a writer and director, known for Dum Laga Ke Haisha (2015), Fan (2016) and Sui Dhaaga: Made in India (2018). He has been married to Anusha Bose since 1 December 2006.
In 2006, the Bollywood flick, ‘Mixed Doubles’ was penned down by Sharat. The film starred Konkona Sen Sharma , Koel Purie, Ranvir Shorey , and Rajat Kapoor. In 2010, he made his directorial debut with the film, ’10 m Love,’ an adaptation of William Shakespeare’s play ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream.’
