Leslie Kong was a Chinese-Jamaican entrepreneur who started Beverley's Records and recorded many ska, rock steady and reggae artistes, including Jimmy Cliff, Bob Marley and Desmond Dekker. He was the first Jamaican producer to get international hits and died in 1971.
