Biography. Steven A. Lane received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in mechanical engineering from Virginia Tech, Blacksburg, VA, USA, in 1992 and 1994, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in mechanical engineering and material sciences from Duke University, Durham, NC, USA, in 1999.
