Joris van Wijk is a graduate in criminal law and criminology. In 2007 he published his PhD research Luanda-Holanda on irregular asylum migration from Angola to the Netherlands. Next to his academic career, Joris has been working for the International Organization for Migration and as an independent policy advisor.
