Thomas Albert Bliss (born December 13, 1952) is an American motion picture producer and executive producer. He is a founding partner at Strike Entertainment. From 1984 to the present, Bliss has been credited with producing more than 30 productions (including The Hurricane and Air Force One)

Feb 12, 2017 · It appears to have an excellent history the family in England, where my Bliss ancestors, Thomas Bliss (my 10th great grandfather) and his oldest son, Jonathan, ran afoul of Charles I in about 1628 and were imprisoned.
Thomas Bliss, the progenitor, lived in Belstone Parish, Devonshire, England. Little is known of him, except that he was a wealthy landowner and was a Puritan, persecuted on account of his faith by both civil and religious authorities under the direction of the infamous Archbishop Laud, that he was maltreated, impoverished and imprisoned.
The ancestry, origin, and when and to where Thomas Bliss, Sr. emigrated to the American colonies is unknown. He was in Hartford by 1638, for his house was already constructed by the time that he was noted as being one of the proprietors “by courtesie of the town” in 1639/40.
