The Casserole Club focuses on a group of mod 1960’s era suburban housewives. Close-knit and neighborly, they are all bent on one-upping each other, trying to prove that each is “the hostess with the mostess.”
In the 1960's, a group of housewives form a recipe club and hold normal dinners with their husbands to see who can make the best casserole. But friendly competition suddenly transforms into boozy flirtation and more than recipes get swapped at their parties.
The Casserole Club is a movie about a group of housewives who compete in a recipe club and end up in affairs and crises. The film, set in the NASA moonwalk era, explores themes of desolation, secrets and potential in a campy and raw style.
