I found Level Up Or Die, the first book in the Underworld series, free on Audible. It's better than I expected. Light on character growth and interaction, to be sure, but it's good as your basic "numbers go up" story and the writing is better than many in the genre. I'm nearly done with the first book. I'm not sure if I should continue.

As mentioned in other comments, DDB gives you all the new resources but does not give you the benefits of a rest when you level up. HP are added to both your current and max, so if your max goes up by 8, so does your current HP. I'd you gain a spell slot, you get that one slot but do not regain any others. Reply reply.
Jul 17, 2022 · Here’s a quick checklist on how to level up in DnD 5e: Increase your hit points. Either roll your class’ hit die or take the average result of that hit die. Then, add your Constitution modifier. Gain one hit die. Check for new class or subclass features.
