Gene Dante and The Future Starlets is an American glam-rock band based out of Boston, Massachusetts, United States. History [ edit ] The first incarnation of The Future Starlets was formed in 2005 by Gene Dante, who had previously been pursuing an acting career as well as fronting the Brian Eno tribute band Project Eno. The 15-track record pulls back the velvet curtain on a modern speakeasy, the fabrication of lead singer Gene Dante. But little beyond the concept itself is made-up; beneath the group’s jewel-encrusted facade are the lyrics that Dante writes — and later, croons — entirely captured from his own experiences.
A passionate and driven artist and showman, Gene Dante continues to lead the Future Starlets to new and exciting heights. Within a year and a half of the current band’s formation in 2008, they secured second place in the WBCN Rumble.
