Cheong Jun Hoong (Chinese: 張俊虹; pinyin: Zhāng Jùnhóng) AMN (born 16 April 1990) is a retired Malaysian diver. She won a silver medal in the synchronised 10m platform event with Pandelela Rinong at the 2016 Summer Olympics .
KUALA LUMPUR: Former diving world champion Cheong Jun Hoong announced her retirement from the sport on Tuesday. The decision was made after the National Sports Council (NSC) and Malaysia Swimming (MS) opted not to renew her contract as a full-time athlete under the national programme this year.
MALAYSIA Swimming (MS) have deemed Cheong Jun Hoong a surplus to requirements at the beginning of 2022 but nobody can deny the fact that she will be remembered as Malaysia’s world champion diver.
