Jan Kacper Bednarek (Polish pronunciation: [ˈjan kat͡sˈpɛr bɛdˈnarɛk]; born 12 April 1996) is a Polish professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for Premier League club Southampton and the Poland national team.

Born in Słupca in April 1996, young Polish centre-back Bednarek spent the entirety of his career before joining Saints at Ekstraklasa side Lech Poznań, having broken through their academy ranks. He made his first-team debut in 2013 at the age of 17, in a game Poznań won 2-0 against Piast Gliwice.
