ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — It's official – Rocky Long will be heading back to New Mexico as a defensive coordinator for the Lobos. Coach Danny Gonzales made the announcement on Twitter Monday morning.
Rocky Long is a longtime coach and player at the University of New Mexico, where he serves as the defensive coordinator since 2020. He led the Lobos to a school record seven straight bowl games and a 65-game winning streak as the head coach from 1998 to 2008.
