Welcome to Braintree Campus. The Braintree Campus is Colchester Institute’s second largest campus. It has been totally redeveloped in the past three years with all buildings and learning spaces brand new and all workshops, studios and classrooms appointed to the very highest standards.
Braintree Campus, formerly known as Braintree College, is a further education college based in Braintree, Essex. It is a constituent college of Colchester Institute. The college was originally an independently controlled institution, but merged with Colchester Institute on 29 February 2010.

On 1 January 2010, Colchester Institute took over Braintree College rebranding this as The College At Braintree and subsequently Braintree Campus. The £10m STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) Centre and South Wing building opened in 2016 at the Sheepen Road Campus.

Aug 19, 2009 · Braintree College, which will merge with Colchester Institute in January, will offer full and part-time vocational courses for 16-year-olds and over from September. The college aims to raise young people's aspirations, create more learning opportunities and respond to local needs and employers' demands.
Dec 19, 2017 · The College at Braintree, which is run by The Colchester Institute, wants £2.5 million of Essex County Council’s Local Growth Fund to complete phase two and phase three of the science, technology, engineering and maths (Stem) centre at the Braintree campus, in Church Lane.
