Agere Systems, Inc. was an integrated circuit components company based in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Spun out of Lucent Technologies in 2002, Agere was merged into LSI Corporation in 2007. [1] LSI was in turn acquired by Avago Technologies in 2014.
Agere Systems Inc. designs and manufactures integrated circuits, which are made using semiconductor wafers imprinted with a network of electronic components. Integrated circuits perform several functions such as processing and storing data, controlling electronic system functions, and processing electronic signals.
