Dec 13, 2020 · It depends on whether Leyou/Tencent is happy to let them continue their collaboration or if they want to prioritise new games and original IP (apparently, the reason Leyou bought 20% of Certain Affinity was to fund an original game). With that said, Tencent ownership won't preclude Splash Damage and Certainly Affinity from working with Microsoft in the future, unlike Sony ownership.

May 13, 2018 · The cost of developing KOF XII and XIII were not recouped in terms of the effort put into them. SNK were basically stuck doing pachinko and mobile games until Leyou Technologies acquired them and giving them a budget to get back into console development, that is why KOF XIV also did not follow the same trend.
