Pediatric Critical Care Medicine. Overview. Our Providers. The Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at the Maria Fareri Children's Hospital is an 18-bed unit that takes care of medical and surgical patients who require intensive care, treating all ages from newborn to young adulthood.
We are the only Level IV Regional Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (RNICU) in the Hudson Valley, serving the entire 6,200 square-mile area between New York City and Albany. As a Level IV facility, which is New York State’s highest clinical designation, we care for the region’s tiniest and sickest babies.
