S1.E2 ∙ Our Figures Are Slipping. Wed, Mar 28, 1973. Sales figures for the department are lower than expected so Mr. Rumbold has instructed the staff on new sales techniques. Besides viewing the store as a ship or a battlefield, Mr. Rumbold feels that the staff, particularly Mr. Lucas, should smile more in an effort to charm the customers.
