This is basically a 70s British TV movie version of Harvey, that Jimmy Stewart film about a grown man with an imaginary talking rabbit friend. Here, a young bullied girl befriends Mr. Horatio Knibbles, who helps her pull pranks of the various naysayers in her life.
Overview. Mary Bunting is sitting alone when to her surprise and delight a rabbit six foot tall - elegantly dressed in frock coat and fancy waistcoat - appears. As he is a magic rabbit, he can be seen only by Mary, which naturally creates great confusion and misunderstanding.
It's simplistic yet endearing and thoroughly charming tale in which a lonely and bullied young girl finds herself accompanied everywhere by a friend who everyone thinks is imaginary - except the larger-than-life Mr. Horatio Knibbles actually exists!
