The film was selected as the Hungarian entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 86th Academy Awards, making the January shortlist.
This ultra-bleak Hungarian WWII film finds two twin brothers in the midst of hardening themselves against the unrelenting trauma of their existence. Similar to Come & See but far more condensed, immediate, and upsetting, it unravels much like a children's storybook with pages dipped in suffering.
