Maybe it's because it has hosted two Winter Olympics in its history, or maybe it's because it is surrounded by the snowy High Peaks of the Adirondack Mountains. 5 Okt 2023 · The town of Lake Placid was very nice - the main street lined with many shops and restaurants. Mirror lake was beautiful. Plenty of scenic spots to relax and enjoy. Never could access Lake Placid itself. So I have no idea what it looks like, They need to put some access points in to see the Lake.
