Ioan Holender ist ein rumänisch-österreichischer Opernagent, Operndirektor und Kulturmanager. Er wurde 1935 in Timisoara geboren, studierte Gesang in Wien und leitete von 1988 bis 2010 die Wiener Staatsoper.
Ioan Holender was the manager of the Vienna State Opera until 31 August 2010, holding the longest mandate in the history of the institution. For seven editions, he was the President and Artistic Director of the George Enescu International Festival.
