As principal, it is my great honor and pleasure to welcome you to our website for Kinder High School for the Performing and Visual Arts (HSPVA). We are thrilled to be celebrating our 52nd year of excellence in the arts and academics at HSPVA!
Classes include art and design for young artists, botanical art, printmaking, fashion design, animation, 3D illustration, digital comics, painting, puppetry, game development, and much more. Classes are held weekdays; 9 a.m. - noon for morning sessions, or 1:30 - 4:30 p.m. for afternoon sessions.

As the first vertically organized high school in Houston, this five-story art school will provide music and fine arts facilities, while preserving community, social and visual integration. The addition of the school to the neighborhood is expected to encourage residential and commercial development.
In PreK and Kindergarten, Academy taps into young children’s natural propensity for play-acting through singing, skits, dancing and learning about the practice of the arts in other cultures. Lower school students also receive formal instruction in drama.
