Jul 22, 2024 · Year 9 Out of Zone Enrolments have now closed. Hillcrest High School enrols students to comply with the legislation requirement. All students living ‘permanently’ within the school zone will be automatically enrolled. Out-of-zone applicants will be determined by ballot.

Hillcrest High School welcomes and encourages students from overseas countries. We have an outstanding reputation for academic attainment, with many of our Year 13 students entering university both in New Zealand and overseas.
Sep 25, 2024 · To add to the fun, we held a Matariki race and Star hunt, keeping the energy high all week. These activities not only celebrated Matariki but also taught both Māori and non-Māori students about the importance of the star cluster and its role in marking the Māori New Year.
At the senior level, there are elected leadership positions available in the area of Arts, Culture, Environment, Service, Manukura, Sport and Toiora. The leaders in these areas chair committees which students can join. The student body is led by four Head Students. A strong house system is led by House Captains.
