Normally, you can simply uninstall Sims 4 through Origin, but if you're formatting your laptop, you don't even need to do that much, since the process will safely erase everything. If you want to keep your saves and other user content, put aside the Sims 4 folder in Documents >Electronic Arts, as in, save it on an external drive or USB stick ...
Hi! My game is getting stuck on a white screen after clicking "New Game" (i just cleared my saves so i dont have any old ones to try) I've removed all my CC and Mods and the game still won't load. I've also "moved" the folder to the desktop so that the game could try to load a clean file. Clean file works, but i'm not sure how to get it to work ...
This has only happened since the patch a few hours ago. Have updated with both patches provided today. EDIT: Thanks to the community it's been found the fishing issues are located in Sulani alone. Fishing everywhere else seems to be working. Just know the spots in Sulani seem to be bugged.

Take your "The Sims 4" folder out of your "Electronic Arts" folder and put it somewhere else in a safe place. Then launch The Sims 4 again and it should create a new folder for you. If that works without crashing, then maybe it was something in your files. Check all your game settings.
