The James Dyson Award supports budding design design engineers at the beginnings of their careers. Open annually to students and graduates in 30 countries and regions, you can enter as a team or an individual.
The James Dyson Award is an international design award, run by the James Dyson Foundation, that inspires, encourages and celebrates budding inventors' new, problem-solving ideas – and provides a platform to launch them.

On Wednesday 6th March, the James Dyson Foundation’s annual competition reopens for young engineers to submit world-changing ideas. The best inventions will have a chance of winning up to £30,000 in prize money, as well as global media coverage of their designs.
Mar 6, 2024 · The James Dyson Award is open for entries between March 6th - July 17th, offering winners a chance to secure a portion of a global prize fund of up to £240,000. To date, the Award has supported over 400 young inventors with more than £1m.
Recognising the role that engineers and scientists play in creating a sustainable future, the James Dyson Award introduced this global recognition prize last year, focused on ideas which tackle environmental issues and share Dyson’s philosophy of lean engineering, doing more with less.
