If you’re passing through Urgench on your way to Khiva and have a fixed itinerary, we’d recommend buying your train ticket in advance as, even in low season, tickets can book up fast especially on weekends.

Jun 18, 2023 · To get to Khiva it is more convenient to travel first to Urgench, the capital of Khorezm. From Urgench there are frequent shared taxi’s to Khiva, that is only 30 minutes away.
