MEDICINE. The Medicine course at Oxford provides a thorough intellectual training with particular emphasis on the basic science research that underpins medicine. We have retained a distinct three-year pre-clinical stage that includes studying towards a BA Honours degree in Medical Sciences, followed by a three-year clinical stage.

Medicine at Oxford is split into two halves, each lasting 3 years: Preclinical and Clinical. The Preclinical course is mainly based on lectures, labs and tutorials, and is a fantastic opportunity to get to grips with the science behind human health, disease and treatments.
