Although Apple Devices is buggy and crashes after short time, it actually sync the song before it crashed. Restart it and start syncing again.

If I un-maximized it, it would disappear again. But right clicking on the maximize button in the upper right gave options to tile it on the screen.

Windows cannot see the iPad using the Apple Devices app. When I plug the cable in, I get a 'ding' noise indicating a connection but I do not get an "allow/not allow" option to authorize the iPad and the Windows machine.
