If you use a paid subscription to iCloud+ then you can also use a custom domain, you can send emails from a temporary address keeping your main hidden. Each service has its pros and cons.

I mostly read my emails through Outlook, where the emails are all downloaded locally onto my Mac and saved within Outlook. This is the case for all my email accounts.

Synergie said: I created it not thinking what I wanted it to be, and afterward decided I should use the same address as my gmail so things match up and it's easy to remember.
