Oct 11, 2023 · A FC is about 10k, and FD is 30k. Also the FD motor is a lot less reliable stock due to turbo charging. That’s why you see tons of LS Fds. As far as drifting is concerned, you can probably use either but given that FDs are more desirable and might appreciate further, I’d personally be more willing to ding up an FC. -4.
Jan 21, 2022 · Turbo 2 FC is the most reliable turbo RX7 you will get as I think it has the longest lifespan. The only problem is that a non-turbo FC is not as fast / fun to drive as its turbo variants (FD or FC). The motor is not a priority when looking to buy these cars, everyone always goes straight to the engine, doing compression chests and seeing if it runs.
The FC's printed circuit boards (PCBs) use very low-quality solder, which can crack over time. Therefore, if you see an FC with a nonfunctional horn, warning instrument cluster, or HVAC controller, then chances are the solder has cracked and caused them to fail. Seriously considering selling the Celica to get something more efficient though. I bought the Celica as a daily so I wouldn't be bored while I fixed the Rx7 for a few years. Now that my FC is consistently reliable (knock on wood), the Celica doesn't really scratch that performance itch anymore. Considering trading it for something like a Honda ...

Dec 8, 2020 · But bear in mind that the FC isn't as good as the RX7 FD3S in Time attack, the car is capable of only getting decent TA records; last thing is in VS battle, it struggles against stronger AWD cars such as the Evo 9, R34 and R32. It’s decent, not as good at TA as the FD and its weaker compared to the RX8 in battle.
Nov 28, 2021 · As far as I recall there was no convertible ones And the wheels are not stock. If you look at 15 inch convertible bbs wheels that’s what the infini ones look like only 16x7. If you look at my post posted here and you will see a set and you are missing the infini logo in the center of yours. Your fenders don’t look stock either.
Aug 2, 2022 · Seconded on the comment about Rx7Club, there's lots of info there. Things to look out for are basically everything nowadays since the car is so old. Here's a list of the big ones I can think of: Interior has the strength of graham crackers, and depending on Sun exposure also the colour of graham crackers.
