  10. May 27, 2016 · Yes, but you don't need a SIM card if you're only planning on using wifi. The "mobile broadband" chip and SIM card are only for cellular networks, and regular wi-fi doesn't require either one. Unless you have unusual needs, save your money and stick with wifi.
