Amy is just a consistently annoying person from season 5 onwards. She was ok in season 4, where they really tried to play her as what she was meant to be (female Sheldon) and so she was more reserved, more scientific, condescending but in the Sheldon way. Then, during and after season 5, it’s like she became a different person.
