When selecting a Tormentor, the Aghanim's Shard is visible in its inventory. Spirit Bear can also be granted the Aghanim's Shard. If all players of that team already have their Aghanim's Shard upgrade, the whole team gains 280 and 280 XP instead.
Tormentors are powerful neutral creep bosses that, unlike other neutral creeps, are incapable of moving or attacking. Despite this, they are difficult to take down due to their quickly regenerating barriers and their very potent damage reflection. Also, each time they get defeated, they come back stronger.

There are two Tormentor locations in Dota 2, each located on the eastern and westernmost parts of the map near the offlane. They are relatively easy to spot, depicted by a chained cube-like object floating above a pit with various ancient inscriptions carved around it.
