While Titans dying only by starvation is my main theory for canon, in Conealed Kingdom it's a bit more different. Witches and demons would often create artifical island full of nothing but gardens full of vegetation for Titans to eat as offerings. This being the main source of food for island-sized Titans.
LITERALLY like NOBODY ever realizes that the Archivists never directly killed the Titans with their own hands, despite it being stated multiple times. The Titan Trappers are so overlooked in the fandom AND the show and its crazy to me.
And also like I'm sorry yall there are NO Titans locked up in the Archives because it was literally impossible for the Archivists to do so. It's the *entire* reason why the Titans were wiped out to extinction in the first place 😭 like come on please . 20 May 2023 19:46:20

A Titan who is not island-sized dying is very uncommon, although not unheard of. There are some Titans who don't grow old enough for their bodies to lie above sea level. Thus, when they die, their bodies are submerged underwater, never to be inhabited. A "failed island."
