Here is the issue though. The features in the $20 stand alone app were available in the Synapse app for Razer THX/7.1 headsets up until the recent update. Yes, the headsets are still THX/7.1 capable. They did not disable or remove THX/7.1 from the headsets. They are now selling the THX software as a stand alone app.

May 3, 2020 · 2. This is the good (and important) part, now you have to install the THX spatial audio background installer patch from this link and unzip the .exe file from it and open the .exe. Once you've gone through the installer and pressed "finish" and it closed itself, restart your pc and just wait for 10 or so mins. It's just updating in the background.
Nov 12, 2023 · its horrible for audio we have to use a THX app, the new Synapse Update really messes up Razer Sound Card, to think they thought it was a good idea to completely remove 7.1 surround audio which renders the physical sound card completely useless and only used to detect the headset through synapse. everyone is now unfortunately stuck with stereo unless they use the THX app to get 7.1 surround.

For whatever reason, I always had 3 options. Razer Kraken, THX Spatial Audio, and then a THX Spacial Audio - Synapse. Today, I got a random update, and lost that last one (which is the one that actually worked). The THX Spacial Audio option doesn't provide any sound, and the Razer Kraken option is stereo.

I downloaded it but never used it and soon deleted the application. I want to give it a try now but couldn't download it now for free.
Aug 26, 2022 · Uninstall generic Realtek audio driver on device manager. On action tab on device manager, search for hardware changes, intel hd audio device should be found. Download high definition audio codes software from Realtek.com. Run the setup file and the manager will delete all generic Realtek driver software. Restart computer when prompted.

Try to get to "Add and remove programs" in Windows and see if on the list of apps you have present or missing "THX Spacial Audio For PC."
