Aug 18, 2015 · 17 August 2015 at 6:55PM. Hi, I offered asking price on a property a few days ago & have now been told there are multiple asking price offers. I've already caught the EA lieing about 1 thing but I think this is true because when I took my partner to see it yesterday there was literally a queue out of the door of people viewing it.
Apr 4, 2021 · Posts: 4 April 2021 at 11:12AM. Posts: said: I personally have offered £32K over asking, and secured the property, only to then pull out after the survey. It then sold for £25K over asking. To be fair it was priced low to start with, and probably would have been a better buy than what I did end up with!!
Sep 19, 2020 · Hi, looking for some advice/guidance. We made a full asking price offer on a property on Monday of this week. We have our mortgage in principle in place. I keep getting emails from the estate agent saying the buyer is considering our offer. We spoke to the estate agent yesterday (Friday); she sounds incredibly frustrated but said that the ...
Sep 18, 2014 · When you sign and exchange the contract, you are committing, legally, to buying. The 10% deposit is a sign of that commitment and - if you later pull out - is forfeit, as compensation to your vendor. Same from your buyer to you. So, on exchange day, your buyer's solicitor hands your solicitor £24,000, and your solicitor hand that - plus £ ...
Mar 31, 2011 · I agree with the above. We are both selling (asking price of 300k) and buying (prepared to go up to 450k). We have had several offers of between 30 and 50k below our asking price, BUT we have already reduced by 20k since we started, and are now at a VERY fair price for a property of our type in our area. So I consider those offers to be ...
Sep 19, 2020 · It happened to me last time I was looking, I offered asking price on a house that had just gone to market, vendor declined as they had other viewings booked and EA encouraged me to offer more, it wasn’t worth more to me so I walked away. Property stayed on the market after that for 6 months before being taken off the market. Either he had no ...
Apr 20, 2012 · A house is worth what someone will pay for it. The seller may insist on the full price, that is their right, but if you don't think it's worth that then don't offer it and walk away. dzug1 Posts: 13,535 Forumite. 20 April 2012 at 11:32AM. Seller may not actually want to sell but being forced to do so by estranged spouse.
Aug 8, 2024 · And, I've wildly guessed £100p/a for ground rent. Given that, the cost of a lease extension will be between about £8000 and £9000 plus costs, which will be in the thousands. Sam Conveyancing says that costs to extend a lease are about £3,600 to £6,598 which seems strangely precise at the high end.
May 8, 2009 · 8 May 2009 at 4:38PM. Hi all, I've found a flat that is on the market for 140k, its been bought as an investment (for 84k) and had tennants in since, all the while its been on the market, obviously it hasnt sold - its in an area where there are lots of "nice" flats that are cheaper - but for me, this one is worth paying a bit extra for.

I have two properties I am sort of interested in (not in love with) but I feel both have too high of an asking price. Property A has been on the market since Sept and reduced once in Oct.
